Mary gleans art material by exploring nature...

About Field Notes...
Mary and her husband, Dale love the outdoors. Every chance they get, you will find them with cameras, field guides, and notebooks in hand--headed for one of their favorite "hunting" areas. Dale has a knack for spotting wildlife; and Mary has an eye for painting strong color and values, so often found in nature. Join them as they share thier stories about wildlife in the mountains, rivers, trails, estuaries, and bays of the Pacific Northwest.

Field Notes: March 2010
Every spring wildflowers explode in color all along the high bluffs and upper rim of the Columbia River Gorge. Fields seem to glow with yellows, purples, with occasionaly sprigs of red Indian Paintbrush--stunning. Mary enjoys painting all kind of florals including those from her own garden!
