The Dalles Art Auction

Sun on Badger Creek

The Dalles Annual Art Auction will take place this Saturday, November 3, doors opening at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center at 6 pm. Come support our wonderful non-profit art center and enjoy a delicious meal, the entertaining silent and oral auctions, and take home your own art treasure. I am donating Sun on Badger Creek, watercolor, 35″ x 25″. My source material is from the Badger Creek Wilderness area, located on the southeast side of the Mt. Hood National Forest. I hope you can join us!

Bird Nest

As the air warms, some birds in my area have begun to searching for good nesting sites.

We have a pair of nesting Great Horned Owls in a nearby Douglas Fir. What a wonderful treat to listen to the male call to his mate as she incubates her eggs, and hear her response.

Remembering a backyard nest, and memories of Easter egg gathering motivated me to paint this subject.

Hidden Nest, watercolor, 21″ x 21″. It is for sale, and may be seen at my home during the Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour on April 20-22.

Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour in April

January finds me focusing on a new body of work to present to the public this spring.

I will be a participating artist in the Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour, which involves 41 artists from Cascade Locks to The Dalles.

Mark your calendar for April 20-23, 10am-5pm each day. This event is free to the public!

Morning Mist, (watercolor, 29″ x 37″) is a view of beautiful Badger Creek, which flows through the Mt. Hood National Forest.

This piece and many others will be available for sale the weekend of my studio tour.
